Carpet Cleaning/Grout Color Sealing, & Area Rug Cleaning

05/05/2016 – Heidi Kaess
Gerald and his helper are extremely professional, honest, competent, pleasant, reliable, punctual and helpful. All the appointments were made quickly and easily. When I needed to change my schedule at the last minute Gerald was completely accommodating. On the first visit I had purchased an Angie’s List Deal to clean wall to wall carpeting in 3 rooms. One of the rooms had stains on old carpeting the previous 3 other cleaners weren’t able to get out. Not only did Gerald and his assistant get out the stains but they deodorized and scotchguarded them and they smelled great! So then I asked him if he could do a badly stained wool area rug as well that no one else had been able to clean and Presto! Same story! And they worked hard and fast. Gerald gave me a quote to clean 1,525 sq feet of off white tile and to seal all the grout lines with a light color to protect them as well as clean a small area and paint the grout with a choice of colors so I could see how it would look. I needed to paint the condo first and even before that I had a leak in the kitchen that needed to be repaired and new Sheetrock put in. Gerald gave me a great recommendation on a person do to that job and he was really inexpensive and did fantastic work. The painter, highly reviewed on Angie’s List came next, and when he finished I mentioned I was getting the tiles done next and he said he had an amazing guy who worked like a maniac and did quality work for a reasonable price and he referred him to all his painting customers. Yup you guessed it, it was Gerald at 3N1!!! I was up north for a month when Gerald came to do the tile work and I was hesitant to pay for the whole job without seeing it. 3N1 was fine with me leaving about a 50% deposit and collecting the balance when I returned. He sent pictures when the job was done and the tile in the main part of the house and the 2 bathrooms looked fabulous! My friends stayed a few days later and when they showered they said there was something wrong with the grout. Gerald came back and said he thought there was a leak in the shower and that the grout wasn’t able to dry properly but he re did it again for free and since I still hadn’t paid the balance he discounted the shower job by 50% even though it was no fault of his own if there was a leak. Turned out there was a leak and I got an Angie’s List plumber to fix and Gerald returned to scrape out the old grout and put in lighter grout which looks great and dried perfectly. Also they took a filthy entry way wool rug to clean and it looks like new, including the fringe and smells wonderful ! I will use 3N1 going forward for any services they perform and are so happy to have found them. Trust me, you should use them too!
Description of work:
Between March and May I have had Gerald and his assistant 4 times.

The first time was to clean 3 rooms of wall to wall carpeting and an area rug.

The second was cleaning 1525 sq feet of tile and grout and seal all the grout lines as well as clean tile and grout in a shower and remove and regrout the floor of the shower as well as clean tile and grout around the tub with some regrouting and sealing.

The third was to take a wool area rug back to his workshop to be cleaned.

The fourth was to replace some discolored grout in a shower that was leaking. A+ on all 4 jobs!

How To Remove Blood Spots From Carpet & Furniture

How to Remove Blood Spots from Carpet and Furniture
Blood spots on your carpet or on your furniture… what a terrible thing. Hopefully when it happens, it’s not from a very serious accident.

But when it does happen, you must remove it quickly. Blood spots can be removed fairly easily if you get to it quick enough.

Of course, if there is a fair amount of blood, more than just a few spots, it’s best not to do anything except call a pro.

For a small amount of blood, though, you should be able to handle the task of removing the spot if you follow some simple, safe procedures.

Blot. When you have a fresh blood spot, get a white absorbent and disposable towel (like a paper towel without print on it) and blot up as much as you can. Never rub or scrub. That can damage the color and/or texture of the fabric, especially furniture fabric.
There is probably still a spot remaining, even with a lot of blotting. So take about a quart of luke-warm water in a bowl, and add a drop of dish soap to it. Just a drop, you don’t want to leave any sticky residue behind. Dip a fresh, white absorbent and disposable towel into the solution and carefully blot the blood again. What you are trying to do is use the detergent solution to release the blood from the fibers into the towel.
After that, if there is still some light blood staining remaining, use a fresh, white, absorbent and disposable towel to apply a 3% solution of hydrogen peroxide, the same strength you purchase at a drug store. But remember, hydrogen peroxide is a “bleach” and you must be careful with colors, especially on furniture fabrics. It’s best to test an area like on the back, bottom skirting to make sure the colors aren’t affected.

Phew! That’s a lot of work. And it might do the trick, but it might not. You could set the blood and it could become a difficult stain if you aren’t careful.

So if you don’t like to live dangerously and would rather play it safe… call 3N1 Services your favorite carpet and furniture cleaning company at 954-821-7880.  We know exactly what to do and we have the tools and cleaning solutions to do it right!
