Warning Signs

Signs Your Marble Counters Need Resurfacing

Marble is a soft stone. South Florida homes are tough on it. Citrus juice, wine, and vinegar eat tiny pits fast. We also see knife scratches and cloudy spots. Cleaning products can strip the shine too. Homes near the coast see this more. Salt air and wet air wear down the finish fast. Last month, a customer near the Cove called us. They had a coffee ring that wouldn't come off. That's etching, not dirt. Scrubbing won't fix it. Resurfacing grinds off the damaged layer. Then we polish a fresh one back in. Tile and marble work takes real skill[1].

Common Issues

Etch Marks From Acid

Lemon, wine, and vinegar leave dull rings in marble. Resurfacing removes the damaged layer fully.

Scratches and Nicks

Knife marks and scuffs build up over years of use. Grinding and polishing smooths them out.

Lost Shine

Harsh cleaners strip marble's natural shine. We bring back that glass-like look without replacing anything.

Stains From Spills

Oil, coffee, and makeup soak into soft marble. We lift deep stains most products can't touch.

Uneven or Cloudy Surface

Years of wear leave dull patches next to shiny spots. We even it all out.

Pre-Sale Touch-Ups

Selling a home with tired marble counters? Resurfacing makes them look new for less money.

Fantastic experience with 3N1 Services. I hired them for upholstery cleaning at my home in Las Olas, Fort Lauderdale: a three-piece sectional couch with a center console and two green chenille chairs. Gerald, the owner, personally handled the job, and his experience showed in both the quality and efficiency.

He was professional, found his own parking, got straight to work, and made the entire process hassle-free. The couch came out incredibly clean, and the green chenille chairs looked great too. He worked quickly without cutting corners, and the results were fantastic.

If you're looking for couch cleaning, sectional cleaning, or upholstery cleaning in Las Olas or Fort Lauderdale, I highly recommend 3N1 Services. Having the owner show up and take real pride in the work made a big difference. Five-star service from start to finish.

5/5 Stars — Outstanding local service and beautifully restored floors!

After a home renovation, my porcelain tile floors were filthy. I had only been surface-cleaning them, but I knew a proper professional steam-cleaning was the only way to bring back their original finish and texture. I hesitated for a long time because I wasn't eager to have contractors in my space, but I ultimately wanted a local, family-owned business where the owner does the work—someone prompt, clean, kind, meticulous, and held to high professional and personal standards.

I found exactly that with Gerald at 3 N 1 Flooring. Communication was seamless from start to finish, and his commitment to doing honest, high-quality work really showed.

A few things that made working with Gerald exceptional:

Prepared & Efficient: He arrived prompt and ready to execute the job in real time once we agreed on the estimate. His truck was fully stocked with everything needed to start and finish promptly.

Attentive to Detail: I am very pleased with the final results! When I noticed a slight film on the tiles right after the cleaning, Gerald immediately went over the floors with a damp mop to ensure they were completely clear.

Respectful of Property: He left my home spotless, with zero dirt or debris left behind.

I highly recommend Gerald and 3 N 1 Flooring to anyone looking for top-quality floor cleaning from a true professional!

Common Questions

Marble Resurfacing Questions

Here are answers to what Deerfield Beach homeowners ask us most.

  • How much does marble resurfacing cost?

Most jobs cost between $300 and $1,800. It depends on size and damage. Light polishing costs less than deep etch repair. We give a free estimate before any work starts.

  • How long does resurfacing take?

Most counters take one to two days. Bigger kitchens or heavy damage may take longer. We'll give you a clear timeline at the estimate.

  • Can I fix marble myself?

DIY kits can't match a real grind and polish job. Marble needs the right tools and steps. A mistake can make etching worse.

  • How often should counters get resurfaced?

Most homes need resurfacing every 7 to 10 years. Homes near the water may need it every 4 to 5 years. Salt air wears down the finish faster.

  • Can etching get worse if I wait?

Yes. Untreated etching traps more dirt over time. The stone gets more open and stains easier. Fixing it early keeps the job simple.

  • What signs mean I need resurfacing?

Look for dull rings, scratches, or a cloudy look that won't shine. Stains that won't scrub out are another sign. These mean etching below the surface.

  • Does resurfacing fix cracks or chips?

Small chips can often get filled during resurfacing. Bigger cracks may need repair first. We'll check your counters and tell you what's needed.
