Warning Signs

When Deerfield Beach Marble Needs Sealing

Marble is a soft, holey stone. South Florida humidity makes it worse. When water sits on top instead of soaking in, your sealer has worn off. We see this a lot in coastal homes near US-1. Salt air speeds up wear on stone there. Etching from lemon juice or vinegar means sealing is overdue. Dull spots near sinks are a sign too. Dark stains near grout lines mean it's time to seal. Sealing builds a wall that stops liquids and oils from soaking in.[1] This stops damage before it starts. If you wait too long, stains sink in deep. At that point, sealing alone won't fix it. We'd rather seal your marble now than fix it later.

Common Cases

Water No Longer Beads Up

If water soaks in instead of sitting on top, your old sealer is gone. This is the clearest sign to reseal.

New Marble Installation

New marble needs sealing before anyone uses it. We seal new floors and counters before the first spill.

Kitchen Counters Near Sinks

Oil, wine, and citrus wear sealer down fast near sinks and stoves. These spots need care first.

Bathroom Marble & Showers

Steam and standing water break down sealer faster in bathrooms. Unsealed shower marble stains quickly.

Coastal Homes Near the Water

Homes east of US-1 deal with salt air that speeds up wear. We suggest resealing these homes more often.

After a Restoration or Polish

Once we polish or fix marble, sealing locks in the finish. Skipping this step leaves fresh stone open again.

Simple Steps

How Marble Sealing Works

Sealing marble is easy when it's done right. We handle every step for you.

1

Inspection and Cleaning

We check your marble for damage first. Then we clean it well. Sealer won't stick right over dirt or old wax.

2

Sealer Application

We put on a sealer that soaks into the stone's holes. This builds a wall against water, oil, and spills.

3

Cure and Final Check

We let the sealer dry fully before showing you the results. You'll know how long your new seal should last.

Fantastic experience with 3N1 Services. I hired them for upholstery cleaning at my home in Las Olas, Fort Lauderdale: a three-piece sectional couch with a center console and two green chenille chairs. Gerald, the owner, personally handled the job, and his experience showed in both the quality and efficiency.

He was professional, found his own parking, got straight to work, and made the entire process hassle-free. The couch came out incredibly clean, and the green chenille chairs looked great too. He worked quickly without cutting corners, and the results were fantastic.

If you're looking for couch cleaning, sectional cleaning, or upholstery cleaning in Las Olas or Fort Lauderdale, I highly recommend 3N1 Services. Having the owner show up and take real pride in the work made a big difference. Five-star service from start to finish.

5/5 Stars — Outstanding local service and beautifully restored floors!

After a home renovation, my porcelain tile floors were filthy. I had only been surface-cleaning them, but I knew a proper professional steam-cleaning was the only way to bring back their original finish and texture. I hesitated for a long time because I wasn't eager to have contractors in my space, but I ultimately wanted a local, family-owned business where the owner does the work—someone prompt, clean, kind, meticulous, and held to high professional and personal standards.

I found exactly that with Gerald at 3 N 1 Flooring. Communication was seamless from start to finish, and his commitment to doing honest, high-quality work really showed.

A few things that made working with Gerald exceptional:

Prepared & Efficient: He arrived prompt and ready to execute the job in real time once we agreed on the estimate. His truck was fully stocked with everything needed to start and finish promptly.

Attentive to Detail: I am very pleased with the final results! When I noticed a slight film on the tiles right after the cleaning, Gerald immediately went over the floors with a damp mop to ensure they were completely clear.

Respectful of Property: He left my home spotless, with zero dirt or debris left behind.

I highly recommend Gerald and 3 N 1 Flooring to anyone looking for top-quality floor cleaning from a true professional!

Your Questions

Marble Sealing Questions

Here are answers to what Deerfield Beach homeowners ask us most about marble sealing.

  • How much does marble sealing cost?

Most jobs cost between $150 and $800. The price depends on size and condition. Kitchen counters and small bathrooms cost less than full floors. We always give a free quote first.

  • How long does marble sealing take?

Most jobs take two to four hours. It depends on how big the area is. Cure time adds a few more hours before you can use it. We'll explain the full timeline before we start.

  • Can I seal marble myself?

You can buy sealer at a hardware store. But it's easy to put on unevenly. A pro sealer soaks in deeper and lasts longer. We've fixed many DIY jobs with streaks or weak spots.

  • How often should marble be resealed?

Most homes need resealing every one to two years. Homes near the water in Deerfield Beach often need it sooner. Salt air wears sealer down fast. We can check your seal during a visit.

  • How fast should I act if marble starts staining?

Pretty fast. Once stains sink into unsealed marble, they're hard to remove. Call us as soon as you notice water stop beading on top.

  • What are the signs my marble needs sealing?

Watch for water soaking in instead of beading up. Look for dull spots or dark stains near sinks. Etching from spills is another clear sign. Any of these mean the sealer is gone.

  • Does sealing change how marble looks?

No, a good sealer can't be seen. It won't change the color or shine. It just protects the stone from below the surface. You'll notice the change in how liquids react, not the look.
